HISTORY

Born in 1408 CE in Tallapaka, Andhra Pradesh, Annamacharya is widely revered as the first known composer in Telugu literature and a pioneering Bhakti saint-poet of the Venkateswara tradition. He authored over 32,000 songs offered at the divine feet of Lord Venkateswara. His compositions are not only lyrical masterpieces but also embody deep philosophical insights, social reform, and unwavering devotion. He transformed the divine experience into poetry, making spirituality accessible to the masses.
